Each year our Humanitarian Awards recognizes those who have significantly helped further Peace Over Violence’s goal of eliminating violence against women, youth and children. This year, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary as the first domestic violence and sexual assault crisis agency in Southern California, and as one of the first agencies of its kind in the nation, we will also be honoring the work of those who have impacted our field, the lives of survivors and our community at large in innovative, compassionate and groundbreaking ways. We invite you to join us this year as an attendee or sponsor as we celebrate this historic milestone for our agency and for the movement to end sexual and domestic violence. Confirmed awardees to date are: Eve Ensler-Lifetime Achievement Award, LAPD Chief of Police Charlie Beck-Public Service Award, the California Habeas Project-Advocacy Award and Blue Shield of California-Verizon Wireless Corporate Hopeline Award.
