Every year since 1999, Peace Over Violence has organized Denim Day in LA & USA. Denim Day In LA & USA is a rape prevention education campaign where we ask community members, elected officials, businesses and students to make a social statement with their fashion statement and wear jeans as a visible means of protest against misconceptions that surround sexual assault. Why? » You can participate by purchasing or downloading Denim Day in LA & USA materials for your school, workplace, or congregation and spreading the word. Materials will be available in early March. Dollars For Denim is a unique sponsorship opportunity that allows you to donate directly to the Denim Day in LA & USA campaign. Donations can be made above or by texting "DENIM" to 85944, then replying YES. A portion of the proceeds of Denim Day in LA & USA 2011 will benefit 1 in 6.
